The brief descriptions below are designed to familiarize you with our staff's training, professional credentials and work experience.
Dr. Gary Mauro
Dr. Mauro continually proves his commitment to his patients through his quality care for their podiatric needs. Dr. Mauro received his Bachelor of Science degree from St. John's University. He then attended the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine, where he received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine in 1977. His surgical residency was completed at Kern Hospital. Dr. Mauro is a Diplomate of the American College of Foot Surgeons as well as a member of various organizations in his field. Dr. Mauro is the Chief of Podiatry at Henry Ford Warren (formerly known as St. John and Ascension Macomb-Oakland) Hospital. Dr. Mauro is on staff at Henry Ford Warren Hospital and Corewell Health Troy (formerly known as Beaumont) Hospital.

Dr. Ann Spriet
Dr. Spriet is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology-Chemistry from St. Mary's College from 1985-1989. She is a graduate of the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine where she studied from 1989 to 1993 and then completed a two year surgical residency at Kern Hospital in Warren, Michigan from 1993 to 1995. Dr. Spriet also trained under the Diabetic Foot Centers of America from 1993 to 1995. She is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association as well as the Michigan Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Spriet is on staff at Henry Ford Warren (formerly known as St. John and Ascension Macomb-Oakland) Hospital.

Dr. Gene Caicco
Dr. Gene Caicco originates from Sault Ste. Marie Ontario, Canada. He attended The University of Western Ontario, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1990. He then attended the California College of Podiatric Medicine and graduated as a Podiatrist (DPM) in 1994. His surgical residency was completed in 1996 at Kern Hospital in Warren MI. During residency, Dr. Caicco had specialized training in the management of the diabetic foot through the Diabetic Foot Centers of America. He has been in private practice in Warren since 1996. Dr. Caicco decided to merge his practice to form Warren Podiatry in July of 2015. Dr. Caicco has been the director of the three year surgical residency program for Podiatry at Henry Ford Warren (formerly known as St. John and Ascension Macomb-Oakland) Hospital since 2013. He also maintains staff privileges in the DMC system.

Dr. Wissam Dimachk
Dr. Wissam Dimachk was raised in Dearborn, Michigan and completed his undergraduate degree at Wayne State University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Dr. Dimachk’s passion in human health, conjoined with his affinity for detail-oriented work led him to podiatry. He completed his post-graduate medical training at New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He then completed a three-year surgical residency with emphasis on rearfoot and ankle reconstruction at St. John Macomb Hospital in Warren, Michigan, where he graduated as Chief Resident. His specialty interests consist of both elective and trauma-related foot and ankle surgery, arthroscopic procedures, diabetic limb salvage, wound care, and sports medicine. Dr. Dimachk is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and is a part of Henry Ford Macomb-Oakland Hospital Center for Wound and Hyperbaric Medicine. Dr. Dimachk also specializes in minimally invasive surgeries such as minimally invasive bunion procedures and forefoot reconstruction.

Dr. Anna Grace Mauro
Dr. Mauro was born and raised in Troy, MI, and with her father having had started the practice years ago, she grew up learning early on the basics of podiatry. Dr. Mauro pursued her lifelong dream of becoming a podiatrist by obtaining her Bachelor of Science through Lyman Briggs College of Science at Michigan State University. She then earned her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine at Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine where she also was awarded the Black Squirrel Scholarship. She completed her three year residency at Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital specializing in forefoot, rearfoot, and ankle surgeries. Since graduating, she has become ABFAS Board Qualified in forefoot and rearfoot surgery, and continues teaching daily at the local residency program as well as serving on the board for educating students for CMC Foundation. Additionally, Dr. Mauro is appointed as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the MSU College of Osteopathic Medicine and has also been a guest lecturer at Samuel Merritt University. Dr. Mauro maintains privileges at Henry Ford Warren (formerly known as St. John and Ascension Macomb-Oakland) Hospital, Corewell Health Troy Beaumont, and Synergy Surgery Center.
